Our Sunday School

All young people are welcome in our Sunday School. Learning to put spiritual values to work is a primary focus in the Christian Science Sunday School. Sunday School meets year-round for young people up to age 20. Dedicated teachers use the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, to teach the Ten Commandments, the Lordís Prayer, and the Sermon on the Mount. Children learn to apply these first lessons to physical healing and to the moral and social dilemmas they confront every day. Students learn how to use Christian Science in their daily lives.

A Sunday School service begins with everyone singing a hymn with piano accompaniment, which is then followed by a few moments of silent prayer, and an audible repetition of the Lord's Prayer. The remainder of the hour is spent with teachers in classes by age group. These teachers provide spiritual guidance while relating their own life experiences to students.
